[dropcap]L[/dropcap]iburan, satu kata yang mungkin hampir pudar dalam benak saya. Terakhir liburan sekitar empat bulan yang lalu. Itupun karena saya harus melakukan liputan ke sebuah tempat untuk mencari bahan tulisan. Padahal beberapa bulan sebelumnya lumayan rajin menapakkan kaki ke tempat yang jauh dari hingar-bingar Ibu Kota. Entah itu ke Bandung untuk berburu kuliner enak, ke Bogor menjelajah segarnya udara, atau pulang ke Semarang untuk sekedar silaturahim dengan keluarga.

Jadwal liburan yang biasanya sudah saya agendakan kini beralih menjadi deadline, deadline dan deadline. Seolah tak ada yang bisa saya lakukan selain menyelesaikan pekerjaan. Mau liburan serasa berat, tapi sebenarnya mengabaikan liburan jauh lebih berat dari pada RINDU, bukan!

Sebagai seorang pekerja lepas, banyak sekali lingkup pekerjaan yang mulai berdatangan. Berawal dari hobi menggambar kini saya menjadi desainer grafis, sering menulis artikel di blog menjajakan saya sebagai penulis lepas dan ketika piawai menguatak-atik layout web, kini disibukkan dengan web desain.

Belum lagi beberapa minggu kemarin saya ditantang untuk menjadi konten kreator di platform youtube, tentunya akan menambah lagi rentetan deadline saya.

Ada cerita dimana antara deadline dan liburan beradu dalam satu waktu. Tentunya cerita ini terkait dengan liburan akhir tahun saya. Sebenarnya untuk liburan kemarin, saya berniat untuk tidak pergi kemana-mana melainkan hanya menetap di rumah untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang sudah diambang batas. Namun karena kedatangan seorang teman yang hampir satu tahun tidak bertemu, akhirnya membuat saya beralih niat.

Panggilannya Hayada, dia adalah teman kerja sekaligus teman penjelajah alam. Saya dari Jakarta, Hayada dari Banten, satu lagi teman kami Alvin dari Jakarta dan Bogor menjadi tempat pertemuan kami. Dulu kami sering melakukan ekspedisi menjelajah berbagai wisata alam yang ada disekitaran Bogor. Pokoknya tiada hari yang kami lewatkan tanpa menjelajah alam, merasakan oase baru yang jarang kami jumpai.

Sejak perusahaan tempat kami bekerja tak mampu lagi menjadi sandaran hidup. Sejak saat itu pula kami berpisah, kembali ke tempat asal kami untuk mencari secercah harapan baru. Hingga akhirnya kami dipertemukan lagi dalam misi yang berbeda.

Kedatanganya tentu bukan tanpa sebab, musibah tsunami yang menerjang Selat Sunda beberapa bulan yang lalu menjadi sebab dia datang ke Jakarta.

Dia datang bukan untuk mengungsi, tetapi untuk mengambil bantuan dari para donatur yang sudah kami kumpulkan.

“Syukurlah air bah dari laut tak sampai ke rumah, jadi semua keluarga selamat, namun desa yang berada diseberang banyak kehilangan rumah dan sanak famili” begitulah jelasnya sambil menyeruput secangkir kopi.

Sebenarnya selain tujuannya bersilaturahim sekaligus membawa bantuan dari para donatur, dia juga ingin mengajak saya bernostalgia menjelajah alam untuk menghilangkan penat. Saya yang masih disibukkan dengan rentetan pekerjaan, dilema memilih antara liburan atau deadline. Namun dalam hati berbisik, saya juga butuh liburan, butuh suasana baru untuk memalingkan penat yang mulai akut dalam pikiran saya. Dengan dalih “anggap saja ini liburan akhir tahun, masa saya hanya berkutik di depan laptop”, akhirnya saya menerima tawarannya untuk pergi menjelajah alam.

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]eperti biasa, liburan kali ini kami akan menjelajah alam. Menikmati udara segar, berteduh di bawah rindangnya pohon dan menyapa deruan air terjun. Tidak perlu jauh, cukup di sekitaran Bogor, tak perlu boros asalkan kami bahagia. Saya tak lupa juga menyiapkan amunisi seperti laptop, kamera, handphone dan peralatan lainnya yang bisa digunakan untuk mengabadikan momen, syukur-syukur berguna untuk meminimalisir deadline. Pokoknya yang paling penting saya harus membawa Pegasus saya, yaitu Laptop ASUS kesayangan yang tak pernah saya tinggalkan ketika berpergian, entah itu untuk traveling, mengisi workshop ataupun liburan.

Sampai di lokasi kami pun memasuki kawasan hijau. Saya begitu sumringah, suasananya adem-ayem dan seketika membuat saya mesam-mesem sendiri saat mengingat masa lalu. Sendal yang copotlah, celana yang melorotlah, godain orang pacaranlah, pokoknya kebanyolan di luar nalar kita yang sekarang.

Tapi, sekarang sudah beda, saya lebih memilih sibuk bersama laptop saya ketimbang mengusili orang lain. Walau bagaimanapun saya harus bisa memanfaatkan liburan kali ini untuk hal yang bermanfaat.

Dikarenakan ada perbaikan jalan di area wisata, jalur kami pun dialihkan menuju persawahan penduduk. Menurut saya lebih seru lewat jalur ini ketimbang jalur biasanya. Dijalur ini saya bisa menikmati rindangnya pohon dan berjalan diantara pematang sawah. Yah, walaupun jalannya berlumpur karena guyuran hujan, tapi tak menyurutkan tekad kami untuk menuju curug yang menjadi tujuan kami yaitu Curug Luewi Hejo.

Baru setengah perjalanan, kami mulai terengah-engah. Nampaknya perjalanan kali ini lumayan melelahkan. Kami pun memutuskan untuk beristirahat sejenak di gubug yang tidak jauh dari tempat kami berdiri. Sambil menikmati pemandangan, saya pun tak lupa bercengkrama dengan si Pegasus untuk memangkas pekerjaan sedikit demi sedikit.

Oh iya, kalian harus tahu! Laptop yang saya gunakan itu adalah laptop ASUS Ultrabook UX32VD. Hampir lima tahun menjadi teman setia saya untuk menghadapi deadline. Dengan bentangan layar 13,3 inch dan bobot 1.49 kilogram, laptop ini memiliki dimensi ringkas untuk dibawa kemana-mana. Karena faktor ringkas inilah yang membuat saya jatuh hati dengan si Pegasus.

Kalau untuk performanya bagaimana?

Meskipun berdimensi ringkas, tentu Pegasus sangat bisa diandalkan, karena dibekali dengan prosesor Intel Core i5-3317U 1.7GHz, RAM 4GB DDR3–1600, dan kartu grafis Intel HD Graphics 4000. Seluruh fisiknya yang dilapisi dengan bahan metal, tentunya membuat laptop ini menjadi sangat kokoh. Jadi tak heran kalau kemana-mana saya selalu membawa laptop untuk menjelajah alam sekalipun karena sosoknya yang kuat dan tangguh. Ya, walaupun belum berstandar military-grade seperti laptop-laptop Zenbook Series keluaran terbaru.

Perjalanan yang hampir satu jam kami tempuh, akhirnya kami dihadapkan dengan pemandangan air terjun yang cukup melegakan jiwa. Tidak sia-sia rupanya, kaki melangkah dengan tergopoh-gopoh kini dibayar dengan pemandangan yang sejuk dan menyegarkan. Amazinglah!

Melihat ada warung di tepian curug, kami pun beristirahat lagi untuk mastikan keringat yang bercucuran kembali kering. Lagi-lagi saya tak melewatkan kesempatan ini hanya dengan berdiam diri. Kembali saya membuka laptop dan melanjutkan desain banner yang sudah dinanti-nanti oleh teman saya.

Setidaknya saya sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan desain mulai dari awal perjalanan hingga sampai ke Curug Luewi Hejo. Ternyata menggerjakan pekerjaan yang sifatnya deadline sambil liburan, bisa juga kok. Bahkan ide atau konsep desain yang tak terfikirkan sebelumnya menjadi pelengkap inspirasi desain saya. Pastinya ini juga tidak terlepas dari kinerja Pegasus, laptop ASUS yang setia menemani saya. Walaupun sedikit membuat saya jengkel dengan baterainya yang hanya bertahan cuma tiga jam.

Siapa bilang liburan gak bisa kejar deadline?, bagi saya sah-sah saja kita liburan sambil kejar deadline. Asalkan kita masih bisa merasakan nikmatnya liburan. Liburan Asik Bermanfaat

Ternyata liburan akhir tahun saya tidak berakhir di Curug Luewi Hejo saja. Dikarenakan supir yang akan membawa donasi menuju ke lokasi pengungsian korban bencana Selat Sunda sakit, mau tidak mau saya harus menggantikannya karena teman saya tidak bisa mengendarai mobil. Lagi-lagi saya harus berfikir dua kali untuk memutuskan pilihan antara menjalankan amanah untuk menyalurkan bantuan atau menyelesaikan deadline pekerjaan.

Tanpa berfikir panjang saya pun memutuskan untuk melaksanakan tugas ini. Saya yakin jika kita menolong orang lain, suatu saat nanti kita juga akan ditolong mereka. Tentu tak ketinggalan saya membawa Pegasus, siapa tahu tersemat waktu kosong untuk mengunakannya ketika sudah sampai di lokasi. Tugas tetaplah tugas, saya harus bisa membagi waktu sebaik mungkin.

Malam harinya kami sampai di posko utama bantuan korban bencana Selat Sunda, walaupun lelah menyelimuti, tetap saja saya manfaatkan waktu istirahat untuk mengerjakan revisi undangan sebelumnya. Kalo cuma revisi sih tak perlu waktu lama kok. Tapi kalau terus-terusan revisi, arrghh!

Setelah izin didapat, kami pun melanjutkan menuju tempat lokasi pengungsian di daerah terplosok yang jarang dijangkau oleh petugas.

Kami tak menyangka sebelumnya, ternyata memang jalan yang kami tempuh terlampau sulit dijangkau. Pencahayaan minim, banyak jalan berlubang, tak jarang pula ban kami slip dan butuh dorongan. Sekitar dua jam melakukan perjalanan, akhirnya kami sampai di posko pengungsian desa Legon, kecamatan Sumur. Di lokasi inilah yang terparah akibat dampak tsunami beberapa bulan yang lalu.

“Malam sekitar jam 21.30 WIB ada suara gemuruh, terus ada ombak kurang lebih tingginya 12 meter. Ada yang teriak tsunami – tsunami, saya yang habis mandi baru pakai baju langsung keluar rumah dan lari. Kurang lebih 50-an rumah hancur dan korbannya lumayan banyak” Begitulah penjelasan Dedi (23 tahun) yang saya temui di posko bencana.

Donasi semua sudah kami salurkan, saya begitu lega telah menjalankan amanah ini. Deadline pekerjaan juga serta merta berlalu, ya walaupun ada pekerjaan yang sedikit telat dikirim karena laptop saya keburu kehabisan daya. So far, ini adalah perjalanan sekaligus liburan akhir tahun yang mengasikkan, bisa bertemu dengan kawan lama saya, bertemu saudara baru, bahagia melihat anak-anak bahagia dan yang pasti tidak membuat orang disekitar kita kecewa.

Nah, itulah rentetan perjalanan saya bersama laptop ASUS di penghujung akhir tahun yang mengesankan. Walaupun deadline mengusik, tetapi dapat terselesaikan dengan baik tanpa harus membuat orang di sekeliling saya kecewa. Pegasus memang menjadi laptop andalan saya saat dikejar deadline.

Meskipun laptop ASUS UX32VD ini mengesankan bagi saya, bukan berarti laptop ini tidak memiliki kekurangan. Tahun 2019 ini, usia pemakaiannya sudah terbilang hampir lebih dari lima tahun, membuat laptop ini tidak lagi secanggih dulu. Daya simpannya tidak seoptimal dulu, sudah mulai lemot jika untuk membuka aplikasi yang berat-berat, terkadang juga sering mati tiba-tiba, yang mengharuskan saya harus meng-instal ulang sistem operasinya. Pastinya ini adalah sebuah pertanda bahwa laptop ASUS ini lambat laun akan mengakhiri masa purna tugasnya.

Tapi saya tidak kuatir, karena ada laptop yang siap mengantikan tugas Pegasus. Laptop ini berdimensi sama dengan Pegasus, namun karena Bezzelnya yang tipis tentu ukurannya tidak selebar Pegasus, lebih ramping dan simpel. Dan yang lebih mengesankan adalah beratnya yang tidak sampai 1 kg. Tentu akan nyaman jika dibawa kemana-mana tanpa membuat bahu pegal. Langsung saja yuk kenalan dengan ASUS ZenBook UX391UA.

Kalau sebelumnya liburan harus nenteng Pegasus yang beratnya hampir 1,5 Kg. Beda halnya dengan ASUS ZenBook UX391UA yang beratnya gak sampai 1 kg. Apalagi ketebalannya cuma 12,9 mm, pastinya semakin ringkas untuk dibawa kemana-mana. Menjejalkan laptop diantara baju-baju yang sudah tertata rapi didalam tas tentu tak jadi masalah, karena ultrabook ini tidak akan makan tempat bahkan lebih ringan dari pada laptop bisa. Jadi kebayangkan sejauh apapun kalian liburan, enggak bikin bahu pegel lagi.

Meskipun terbilang sangat tipis dan ringkas, bukan berarti ZenBook S UX391UA tidak tahan banting. Asal kalian tahu, laptop ini sudah tersertifikasi Military Grade MIL-STD 810G. Itu artinya bodi dari laptop ini sangat kokoh, tahan banting dan berhasil melewati serangkaian pengujian standar militer. Mungkin masih ada diantara kalian yang tidak percaya, tentu hal tersebut wajar-wajar saja, sebab benda yang semakin tipis biasanya lebih ringkih dan mudah rusak. Tapi, hal tersebut tidak berlaku bagi ultrabook yang satu ini.

Awalnya saya berfikir bahwa Pegasus adalah laptop yang paling kuat, karena bodinya yang berlapis metal. Namun, ketika saya menjumpai ZenBook S UX391UA, ternyata laptop ini jauh lebih kuat dan kokoh.

Memang terbukti kuatnya karena telah dilakukan pengujian diantaranya seperti tes jatuh (drop test), tes guncangan (vibration test), tes penggunaan di ketinggian (altitude test), hingga tes di suhu tinggi dan rendah (temperature test).

Kemanapun bawa laptop tentu tak kuatir terjatuh ataupun terlindas sekalipun.

Nah, disamping ini adalah alat yang saya gunakan untuk menopang si Pegasus ketika sedang bekerja di rumah. Dengan cooling-pad ini selain berfungsi mencegah laptop cepat panas, juga posisi tumpuannya yang membuat saya nyaman untuk mengetik karena laptop sedikit condong ke depan. Tapi kalau sedang bekerja diluar rumah, tentu hal serupa tak bisa saya dapatkan, bahkan sering membuat leher saya pegal karena harus merunduk kaku menatap jari-jari saat mengetik.

3. Fingerprint Sensor
Di ujung kanan atas touchpad juga terdapat sebuah sensor sidik jari atau fingerprint. Sensor ini sudah terintegrasi dengan fitur Windows Hello di Windows 10. Wah, pastinya makin muda dan aman pokoknya, karena tidak semua orang memiliki akses untuk masuk ke ranah data pribadi kita. Sampai saat ini pun belum pernah saya memiliki laptop secanggih ini. Ini nih namanya dedikasi tanpa batas, meskipun lagi liburan tetap tanggung jawab sama kerjaan. Haaaa luaaar biasaaa dan salut
apalagi ditemani dengan asus ya, yang ringkas dan gampang dimana saja. Baterai juga bisa tahan lama.
