Berawal dari tahun 2015, dimana saya pernah gagal membuka usaha percetakan. Usaha yang saya rintis selama kurang lebih dua tahun terpaksa gulung tikar lantaran sulitnya mendatangkan pelanggan. Singkat cerita, usaha saya bangkrut dan saya pun kembali menjadi seorang pengangguran.

Gagal coba lagi, jatuh bangkit lagi. Begitulah kalimat motivasi yang selalu tertanam dalam diri saya. Meskipun gagal, saya tak pernah patah arang untuk terus mencoba kembali. Berbekal ilmu desain yang saya miliki, akhirnya saya kembali bangkit dari keterpurukan.

Kali ini sebagai freelancer desain. Dengan promosi “jasa desain gratis” diawal peluncuran branding, akhirnya saya mulai dibanjiri pelanggan. Saya kembali menemukan titik awal untuk membangun usaha kembali. Berbeda dengan usaha sebelumnya, usaha ini dibangun tanpa toko fisik, tanpa karyawan dan hanya bermodal laptop.

Sepanjang tahun 2019 ini, saya tengah disibukkan dengan orderan desain yang berlimpah dari banyak klien. Saya mulai kewalahan jika banyak calon pelangan menanyakan perihal desain melalui pesan WA. Terlebih pesan yang masuk hanya sekedar menanyakan beberapa hal yang sifatnya mendasar seperti bertanya harga, waktu pengerjaan dan lain-lain.

Saya merasa waktu saya terkuras jika harus menaggapainya satu persatu. Sedangkan saya harus menyelesaikan orderan desain dari klien yang lainnya. Mengingat sulitnya mencari pelanggan, saya tidak ingin pelanggan saya berpaling karena pelayanan saya yang kurang maksimal.

Mungkin sudah saatnya saya membutuhkan assisten untuk menjawab pertanyaan dari klien. Jika dibutuhkan tentu saya akan menggunakan aplikasi jawab pesan otomatis atau semacam chatbot.

Pernah lihat atau dengar aplikasi SimSimi? Bagi anak milenial tentu paham aplikasi yang satu ini. SimSimi adalah aplikasi sederhana yang memungkinkan penggunanya melakukan obrolan ringan dengan tokoh virtual bernama Simi. Aplikasi ini didesain seperti aplikasi chating pada umumnya, ketika kita bertanya sesuatu, Simi pun akan menjawab. Meskipun belakangan saya tahu yang menjawab itu robot, namun apliaksi semacam ini cukup menghibur ditengah kegalauan saya.

Aplikasi seperti SimSimi merupakan salah satu contoh chatbot yang menggunakan bahasa Indonesia. Chatbot atau chatterbot itu sendiri adalah sebuah layanan obrolan robot/tokoh virtual dengan kecerdasan buatan atau AI (Artificial Intelligent) yang menirukan percakapan manusia melalui pesan suara, obrolan teks ataupun keduanya.

Agar usaha desain saya dikenal banyak orang tentu saya menggunakan facebook sebagai media untuk promosi. Nah, di dalam facebook sendiri terdapat fitur facebook messenger untuk berinteraksi kepada seseorang melalui fitur chating. Sebagai pengguna facebook untuk berbisnis, saya pun menggunakan fitur messenger yang dilengkapi dengan chatbot untuk membalas pesan secara otomatis.

Fitur ini setidaknya membantu saya merespon lebih cepat,  ketika saya sedang berada di jalan atau belum bisa membalas chat dengan segera. Tentunya dengan fitur chatbot yang terdapat pada facebook messenger bisa meningkatkan performa saya dalam menanggapi pertanyaan dari para klien.

Ketika pulsa dan paket data menjadi sebuah kebutuhan, saya pun mengambil peluang dengan berjualan pulsa. Bermodal handphone jadul dengan fitur SMS, saya bisa melayani orang yang  membeli pulsa. Fitur chatbot yang telah terhubung dengan telegram, memudahkan saya berjualan pulsa. Untuk mengisi topup saldo saja, cukup dengan chatbot tersebut. Prosesnya yang cepat dan mudah menjadi faktor penting untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan pelanggan.

Disaat pelanggan ingin melakukan pemesanan desain, yang saya butuhkan tentu terkait ukuran cetak, spesifikasi warna dan Draft konsepnya. Hal ini tentu akan terus berulang-ulang ketika ada pelanggan yang menannyakan hal serupa.

Layaknya mesin kasir yang siap menjumlahkan total perhitungan biayanya, saya pun menginginkan semacam asisten yang bisa melakukan perhitungan otomatis sesuai jasa desain yang mereka pesan.
